My network is set to Strict NAT.

We appreciate that sometimes customers may have some mis-information about how a Strict NAT can affect their online experience.

The network we provide to your property uses ‘Carrier Grade NAT’ ip address ranges. We use Carrier Grade NAT to reduce the number of IPv4 addresses used in our network , due to their limited availability.

Unfortunately, CG-NAT networks do have a drawback of not allowing clients to ‘host’ games online and your connection may appear as having a ‘Strict NAT’ in the connection settings. The CG-NAT setup also limits your ability to open ports on your console. However, Carrier Grade NAT will have no impact on your ability to use online services and play online games.

We hope this helps to add clarity to how a Strict NAT can impact your service, as always if you have anymore questions please  get in touch with us!
